Beach Activities
Head to the shoreline at dawn or in the late afternoon to catch fishermen pulling in their colourful canoes. Fishermen also pull their nets in from the beach which requires a lot of manpower and can take a long time. Numerous restaurants or locals will offer you fresh fish cooked on the spot. The fresh fish is gutted, grilled, and served right on the sand within minutes.
The sand is lovely and soft and golden and beautiful for an early morning or evening stroll or jog. The sea can be rough so be careful swimming and ask a local if it is safe.
The Gulf of Guinea delivers consistent waves, making Kokrobite a relaxed and affordable place to learn surfing and bodyboarding. Local surf instructors keep things easy-going and budget-friendly, and with fewer crowds beginners can find their groove without pressure. There are also yoga clubs that take place on the beach, Mr. Brights yoga

Drumming & Dancing Workshops
Kokrobite has a strong music and dance atmosphere, with plenty of chances during the day or early evening to jump into traditional drumming sessions or free-spirited dance classes. Instead of sitting back as a spectator, you’ll get a hands-on crash course led by welcoming local teachers. Expect high-energy rhythms, a lot of sweat and beats that stay with you long after. Call Cheef Chebe in Ghana on (+233) 542211576 or on WhatsApp 07902763301 if you are interested in booking African drumming or dancing workshops.
Bonfires Nights
Once the sun sets, the beach transforms into an open-air music session. Drummers, singers, and DJs blend Afrobeat, highlife and contemporary sounds around bonfires and makeshift stages. It’s raw, soulful and community-driven and ideal if you want to dance under the stars. Cheef Chebe can organise a bonfire African drumming session on the beach with fresh grilled fish and kebabs. Give him a call to organise your own private session or party event.
Crafts & Creative Vibes
Beyond the beach, Kokrobite has a creative streak. You’ll come across tie-dye makers, craft stalls, and local artisans selling one-of-a-kind souvenirs. It’s the perfect spot to pick up something handmade while meeting the people who created it.
